Scope of works
Mobile Concrete Pumping
The CPS mobile fleet runs from 35m boom pumps for constrained sites through to 52m long-reach units. Every pump is maintained to manufacturer's schedule and operated by a ticketed CPS employee.
- Boom pumps
- 8 units, 35m – 52m reach
- Operators
- CPS-employed, ticketed and inducted
- Servicing
- To manufacturer's schedule and WHS plant requirements
Selecting the unit
Boom size is the first specification a head contractor asks for and the least useful in isolation. What governs a pour is the reach available from the set-up position that remains after site sheds, crane bases, hoardings and boundaries have taken their share of the ground.
CPS works the geometry before quoting. A 35m unit set close will frequently out-perform a 52m unit positioned behind a hoarding, and where that is the case it is the unit recommended.
Fleet condition
Plant and equipment are serviced and maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and applicable legislative requirements. Inspection records, boom certification and operator competencies are current and issued to site before mobilisation.
Supply arrangements
Mobile pumping is supplied on its own, or alongside CPS placement and finishing as one contract. Where a head contractor holds its own concreting labour, CPS supplies the pump and a ticketed operator to work to it. Where CPS does both, the pour has a single point of responsibility rather than a split between trades.
Scope
What this covers
- Access assessment before mobilisation
- Set-up positions, outrigger loadings, overhead services and swing clearances are resolved at the pre-start rather than on pour day.
- Constrained inner-city sites
- Long-reach configurations, restricted-hours work and staged set-ups for sites with no clean standing position.
- Compliant plant records
- Current inspection records, boom certification and pre-start documentation are supplied for the client's plant register before mobilisation.
- Output matched to supply
- Pump output is set against batch plant truck intervals so the boom is not standing idle and trucks are not queueing on the street.
- Experienced operators
- Operators have placed for these head contractors before and understand where a pour must start, where it must finish, and what the finishers behind them require.
