Plant & equipment

The plant register.

Mobile boom pumps from 35m through 52m and tower placing booms that stay with the build — maintained in our own yard and run by our own operators.

Fleet

Reach is the first question. The available set-up position is the one that decides it.

Boom size on paper means little once site sheds, crane bases and hoardings have taken their share of the ground. CPS selects the unit that works from the position the site can actually give.

Long-reach boom pumps

Boom pump

48m – 52m

Long-reach boom pumps

The longest-reach units in the fleet. Used where the available set-up position is a long way from the pour, or where the deck is high and the street is the only standing position.

Reach 48m – 52m vertical
Configuration Multi-section boom, full outrigger spread
Operator CPS-employed, ticketed

Suited to

  • Tower decks where the pump must stand at street level
  • Sites where hoardings or neighbours push the set-up a long way back
  • Large single pours that need reach and output together
Mid-range boom pumps

Boom pump

35m – 48m

Mid-range boom pumps

The units that run hardest. Most Canberra deck pours are served by a mid-range boom set in the right position rather than by a longer machine set badly.

Reach 35m – 48m vertical
Typical use Suspended decks, raft slabs, capping beams
Operator CPS-employed, ticketed

Suited to

  • Repeating deck cycles on mid-rise structures
  • Ground slabs and rafts with a clear set-up position
  • Jobs where two units working together beat one long-reach machine
Tower placing booms

Placing boom

32m – 38m

Tower placing booms

A deck-mounted placing boom stays with the structure, removing the street-level set-up and releasing the crane for other work through the pour. On a tall building it is usually what makes a weekly deck cycle achievable.

Reach 32m – 38m
Configuration Static and climbing, deck or mast mounted
Coverage Full floor plate from a single position
Crane impact None during the pour

Suited to

  • Multi-level towers on a repeating deck cycle
  • Sites with no viable street-level set-up
  • Programmes where crane time is the binding constraint

Maintenance

Plant is only useful when it is available.

A pump that arrives without current certification, or that goes down mid-pour, costs more than any saving it represents. Plant is serviced in-house and documentation is kept current.

Serviced to manufacturer’s schedule
Service history is documented and supplied for the client’s plant register before a machine leaves our yard.
Certified and inspected
Boom certification and periodic inspection records are current on every unit, issued at mobilisation.
Operated by CPS employees
Every operator is directly employed, ticketed, and assessed as competent on the specific machine they run.
Maintained in-house
Maintenance is carried out in our own workshop, which is why the machines turn up and keep working.

Pumping enquiries

Send the pour dates, volumes, set-up position and access constraints. We will confirm the unit that fits, and say so if a different configuration would serve the project better.
