CDC Hume 6 is a high-security, Tier IV data centre in Hume, part of CDC's established Canberra campus network. CDC facilities are purpose-designed to meet the highest Commonwealth Government standards for security, resilience and availability, with closed-loop liquid cooling, multiple layers of redundancy and the ability to run in island mode on site power. The Hume campuses form part of Australia's most significant sovereign data centre footprint, supporting government and hyperscale cloud customers.

CPS was engaged to pump, place and finish the concrete for CDC’s Hume 6 data centre. Data centre work sits at the demanding end of industrial concreting: slabs must carry very high equipment loads, hold tight flatness and level tolerances for racking and plant, and accommodate dense service penetrations set out to the millimetre.

Our crews delivered the ground slabs, structural elements and plant deck areas to those tolerances, working on a secure, access-controlled site alongside operating facilities where scheduling, inductions and site protocols are tightly managed. The result is a concrete structure built to the standard a Tier IV, government-accredited facility demands.
