The Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport is a 4.5-star hotel built by Construction Control for the Capital Airport Group, situated 150 metres from the entry of the Canberra Airport terminal in Brindabella Business Park. The hotel features 191 rooms including 12 suites and nine apartments over seven levels, along with reception, conferencing facilities, a restaurant and bar. The building is centred around a full height atrium with a large ground floor intermingle zone, striking circular geometry and sweeping views over Lake Burley Griffin to Parliament House.
CPS worked with Construction Control on concrete placement for the Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport. Our crews delivered the basement carpark, ground floor public areas and the suspended slabs through all seven levels of guest rooms.
The full-height atrium running the height of the building broke up the usual floor repetition, with curved and circular geometry through the lobby and upper levels requiring careful setting out and edge work rather than straight, repeating slab edges. Working within a live business park beside an operating airport, pump positions, deliveries and pour timing were planned around airport access roads and neighbouring tenants. CPS’s finishing teams delivered consistent slab surfaces ready for a high-specification hotel fit-out, supporting Construction Control in delivering an award-winning building at the gateway to Canberra.
