The Grande on London is a mixed-use residential development on the cloverleaf of Allara Street and London Circuit, built by Geocon on the former Werriwa Defence Facility site. Three buildings across eight levels deliver 332 one, two and three-bedroom apartments above ground floor commercial space, over two levels of basement parking for 409 cars and 90 bicycles. The ground plane includes a landscaped plaza, communal gardens and deep-rooted trees connecting London Circuit to Allara Street, with residents' amenities including a rooftop pool and pavilion, fitness centre, co-working space, library and cinema.
CPS worked with Geocon to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at The Grande on London. Our crews delivered two levels of basement spanning the full 7,640-square-metre site, the ground floor commercial levels and the suspended slabs through three separate buildings rising above, running multiple fronts in parallel to keep the whole site cycling.
The rooftop pool, pavilion and landscaped plaza brought load-bearing slabs with falls, set-downs and deep soil zones for mature plantings. Sitting in the heart of the CBD beside London Circuit, an occupied neighbouring apartment complex and the light rail works, CPS planned pump positions, deliveries and pour windows tightly around traffic, residents and public access, delivering consistent slab surfaces across 332 apartments for Geocon.
