Nightfall is the third and final stage of Geocon's Republic precinct in Belconnen. The tower accommodates 334 residential apartments over 22 levels, 17 commercial and retail units on the ground and lower ground floors, and two levels of basement car parking which join the basement already constructed for Stages 1 and 2. Residents have access to a private sky garden with barbecue, chef's kitchen and dining room, with the wider precinct offering a hotel, supermarket, retail plaza and views across Lake Ginninderra.
CPS returned to the Republic precinct with Geocon to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at Nightfall, the final tower in the masterplan. Our crews delivered the basement extension, ground and lower ground retail levels and 22 storeys of suspended slabs, with tower pumps set up to service the full height of the building.
Tying new basement levels into the structure already built for Stages 1 and 2 required careful setting out and sequencing, all while the completed towers next door were occupied and the ground floor plaza was trading. CPS planned pump positions, deliveries and pour windows around residents, retailers and public access, holding a steady floor cycle to help Geocon complete the precinct.
