Completed
2025

The new Anzac Hall and Glazed Link form the centrepiece of the Australian War Memorial's redevelopment, delivered by Lendlease. The two-storey Anzac Hall provides around 7,000 square metres of exhibition space for galleries and large technology objects, with its roof and walls wrapped in approximately 70t of copper cladding over more than 750t of geometrically challenging structural steel shaped to echo the Rising Sun insignia. The Glazed Link connects the new hall to the heritage Main Building beneath a translucent ETFE roof, housing aircraft and armoured vehicles alongside a café and public amenities. Anzac Hall and the Atrium were officially opened in June 2026.

Working on the nation’s most important memorial comes with a responsibility you feel every day on site. For the new Anzac Hall, CPS partnered with Lendlease to pump, place and finish concrete across the structure, from the gallery slabs built to carry some of the heaviest objects in the collection, to the curved raking wall that now defines the building.

That 130-metre wall took careful planning, with pump positioning and pour sequencing worked through with Lendlease’s team to get it right first time.

Seeing the project recognised as Project of the Year makes us proud. For a Canberra family business, few jobs will ever mean more.
