Mulberry was the first stage of Art Group's SOHO precinct in Dickson, built by Core Building Group, the project covers around 409 apartments spread over several buildings between Northbourne Avenue and Dooring Street. The development includes a central private garden and three rooftop gardens, and sits alongside the heritage-listed 1959 Dickson Flats, which were restored as part of the precinct. Mulberry won the 2022 HIA Apartment Complex of the Year and Outdoor Project of the Year for ACT/Southern NSW.
Mulberry was the first major step in transforming Canberra’s Northbourne gateway, and CPS pumped, placed and finished its concrete for Core Building Group. With multiple buildings rising over a shared basement on a constrained site beside the light rail corridor, the job called for careful pour planning and reliable pump availability to keep several structures moving at once.
Our crews delivered basement, suspended slab and rooftop pours to a consistent, high-quality standard, creating a solid base for the precinct’s rooftop gardens, generous balconies and premium interiors. Mulberry went on to be named HIA’s Apartment Complex of the Year for ACT/Southern NSW, a result our team is proud to have been part of.
