Marlu is a 139-dwelling residential development in Denman Prospect, built and developed by Core Developments on a 9,000-square-metre site bounded by McMichael Terrace and Holborow Avenue. Two six-storey buildings contain 119 one, two and three-bedroom apartments with a gym and pool, and two levels of basement parking, with a further 20 two and three-bedroom townhouses with attached double garages across four two-storey buildings. The dwellings flow from a central garden and enjoy a northern frontage overlooking the Molonglo Valley and Black Mountain.
CPS worked with Core Developments to pump, place and finish the concrete at Marlu. Our crews delivered two levels of basement, the ground floor and the suspended slabs through both six-storey apartment buildings, as well as the slabs and structure for the townhouse buildings across the site.
With multiple building types spread over a 9,000-square-metre block, the work called for careful planning of pump positions and pour sequencing so that apartment, townhouse and basement pours could run in parallel without holding each other up. CPS’s finishing teams delivered flat, consistent slab surfaces ready for fit-out across all 139 dwellings, supporting Core Developments in delivering one of Denman Prospect’s first major multi-unit projects.
