Midnight is a landmark mixed-use precinct at 92 Northbourne Avenue, built by Geocon on the former NRMA House site on the edge of Braddon. The nine-storey development integrates 255 residential apartments, a 199-room Marriott Autograph Collection hotel and 2,600sqm of commercial space, over three levels of basement parking that include 200 public car spaces. Residents and guests enjoy a 25-metre pool with cascading waterfall, private cabanas, gyms and a public courtyard, with the Elouera Street light rail stop directly adjacent.

CPS worked with Geocon to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at Midnight. Our crews delivered three full levels of basement, ground floor commercial and the suspended slabs through the residential and hotel levels above — two distinct building uses sharing one structure, each with its own slab requirements, service penetrations and set-downs.

The site is surrounded by roadways on three sides and sits hard against a neighbouring nine-storey residential building, with a deep anchored soldier pile retention system holding the basement excavation, so pump positioning, truck access and pour timing had to be planned tightly around Northbourne Avenue and the light rail works underway alongside. CPS’s finishing teams delivered the quality of slab required for both premium apartments and an international hotel brand, supporting Geocon in completing the first major high-density development on the light rail route.
