Twin Residential Towers Overlooking Yerrabi Pond

2018

Infinity is a landmark twin-tower development in the Gungahlin Town Centre, built by Geocon on a risen site overlooking Yerrabi Pond. At 20 and 22 storeys, the towers were Canberra's highest residential buildings on completion, comprising 426 residential apartments with a mix of one, two and three-bedrooms and seven ground-floor commercial spaces. The level six Sky Park delivers resort-style amenity including a 25-metre heated infinity edge pool suspended 20 metres above the ground, spa, gym, al fresco kitchen and landscaped outdoor areas.

CPS worked with Geocon to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at Infinity Towers — at the time the largest single residential development ever undertaken in Canberra. Our crews delivered the basement and undercover carpark, the ground floor commercial levels and suspended slabs to the top of both towers, with pumps set up to reach 22 storeys and pours coordinated between ground-level operators and placing crews high above.
The level six Sky Park added complexity most residential structures don’t carry, with a suspended pool, planters and landscaped decks all demanding precise levels, falls and set-downs to suit the waterproofing and finishes above. Working on a sloping town centre site alongside live roads and light rail infrastructure works, CPS held a steady floor cycle across two towers, supporting Geocon in delivering a project that reshaped the Gungahlin skyline.
