Carpark 9 is a multi-storey carpark in Brindabella Business Park at Canberra Airport, delivered by Construction Control for the Canberra Airport Group. The Brindabella Business Park Carpark 9 is a 17,250m2 5 Level (1 SOG and 4 suspended decks) carpark with a 3300m2 floor plate that houses 570 car spaces, finished in a perforated aluminium façade. Built on an existing on-grade carpark, the project also required extensive services relocation and was delivered alongside an operating office building, childcare centre and service station.
CPS partnered with Construction Control to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at Carpark 9. Our crews delivered the slab on ground and four suspended decks, each with a 3,300m² floor plate — large, repetitive pours where speed, flatness and surface durability all mattered.
Carpark decks are trafficked, exposed and largely unfinished, so the quality of the placement and finish is the final product; CPS delivered consistent levels, falls to drainage and a hard-wearing surface across all five levels. Working within a live business park adjacent to a childcare centre and occupied offices, our teams planned pump positions and pour sequencing to keep noise, traffic and disruption to a minimum while holding the deck cycle Construction Control needed to hit the mid-2020 completion.
