Atelier is a premium waterfront residential development on the Kingston Foreshore, delivered by St Hilliers. The $45M Atelier Apartments is Kingston Foreshore's newest premium, absolute waterfront address, with sophisticated and refined design throughout its 73 elegant one, two and three bedroom apartments. The five-storey building takes in views towards Kingston Harbour and out across Lake Burley Griffin, with ground floor retail addressing the foreshore promenade.
CPS was engaged by St Hilliers to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at Atelier. Working next to water on reclaimed land meant piles had to be driven down to a rock base, with just over 100 piles drilled to an average depth of 13-14m, and the building’s basement slab constructed above the water table. Our crews placed the basement, ground floor and post-tensioned suspended slabs through all five levels, working to a tight lakeside site with limited access and a demanding structural program.
CPS’s finishing teams delivered consistent, high-quality slab surfaces ready for the development’s premium fit-out, supporting St Hilliers in completing one of the last waterfront sites on the Kingston Foreshore.
