15 Sydney Avenue is a six-storey, A-grade Commonwealth office building in Barton, less than 500 metres from Parliament House. Bloc built it for DOMA Group and Kenyon Investments as the new Canberra headquarters of the Australian Taxation Office. The building is arranged around a central atrium with large floor plates of about 5,600 sqm, sits over two basement levels with 358 car spaces, and targets 4.5-star NABERS and 5-star Green Star ratings.
CPS worked with Bloc to pump, place and finish the concrete structure at 15 Sydney Avenue. The project’s scale, with two basement levels and floor plates of around 5,600 sqm, called for large, well-sequenced pours and careful planning of pump and crew resources to keep a demanding program on track.
Working in the Parliamentary Zone meant tight attention to site logistics, safety and coordination with Bloc’s team throughout. Our finishing crews delivered consistent, high-quality slabs from the basement through to the upper office levels. We’re proud to have helped deliver a landmark government workplace in the heart of Barton, and to continue our long relationship with Bloc.
